Housing & Support

£10,409.5 per annum

18.5 hours per week on average on a rota including days, evenings and week- ends.

Located in Yeovil

This is a key role within the support team of YMCA Brunel Group.  The post holder will be working to support young people within housing projects and within the community to equip them with the skills to live independently.

Support will be provided across the area where needed, both accommodation and community based work, to assist those who are not housed but need comprehensive housing support to identify, secure and set up accommodation to achieve independent living.

The post holder will be involved in each stage of the young person’s time supporting young people to progress as needed through the housing pathway to improve their quality of life and independence within each of the five outcomes: Being Healthy, Staying safe, Enjoying and achieving, Making a positive contribution and Economic well-being.

The post is also responsible for Housing Management duties to ensure a holistic service for clients including administration, rent collection and rent administration, notification of repairs and maintenance, health and safety tasks and ensuring the environment is welcoming and safe for clients and staff.

Young People Accommodation and Support worker -The Bristol Wing

Salary: £21,100 per annum

37.5 hours per week on average over 4 weeks on a rota including days, evenings and week- ends.

Located in The Wing Hostel in Bristol

This is a key role within the support team of YMCA Brunel Group.  The post holder will be working to support young people within The Bristol Wing to equip them with the skills to live independently.

Accommodation

Our hostel in the city centre of Bath has 200 beds which are normally used for school groups, sporting teams and backpackers. We also accommodate referrals from different agencies in Bath and surrounding areas, which stay at the YMCA for several weeks before going onto more permanent accommodation.

We are looking for a housekeeping assistant to clean rooms, showers and toilets and make beds.

The successful candidate will be working with a small team of duty managers/receptionist/housekeeping and maintenance.

Working hours:

15 hours per week

Hours are 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, 4 morning per week including the weekends (Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday); additional hours possible.

Salary: £8.91 per hour.

We are looking for a duty manager to work on our reception and join our friendly team.

Duties include:

  • Creating a harmonious, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere in the hostel and communal spaces.
  • To deliver exceptional customer services to customers entering the building.
  • Engaging with guests and residents- building rapport and relationships which encourage guests to visit us again and again.
  • Dealing with reservations, enquiries and meeting room bookings.
  • Ensuring paperwork for bookings, arrivals and departures are correct and up to date.
  • Working closely with the team to safeguard the wellbeing of our residents.
  • Continually seek areas to improve the service delivered to customers.
  • Managing our online booking system, replying to emails and general administration in prompt, professional manner.
  • Build a good relationship with our longer- term residents
  • Ensure cleaning standard are kept to the highest under COVID regulations.

Working with a small team of duty managers/receptionist/housekeeping and maintenance.

Working hours:

20 hours per week on a rolling rota over 7 days (2×10 hour shifts from 10pm to 8am); Overtime and holiday cover are also available.

Salary:

£9.50 per hour for shifts worked between 8.00 am – 10.00 pm

£10.50 per hour for shifts worked between 10.00 pm – 8.00 am
