Bath

YMCA Bath is the main hub of Brunel Group, offering a variety of types of support for young people alongside our Health & Wellbeing services and our Bath hostel.

Support for Young People:

Bath Hostel:

We have one floor of single rooms at our main site that we allocate to social housing for individuals with low support needs. To qualify for one of these rooms requires a referral and interview process. Accommodation maybe offered for one night through to several weeks or months. More information here.

Platform for Life:

We offer accommodation for up to two years in a safe, friendly and supportive shared housing environment. It is especially for young people who are working, training, studying or applying to do so. Accommodation is provided in a shared house with 3 or 4 housemates. Every young person has a room of their own and will share communal spaces with their housemates. The houses are in a variety of locations in Bath and North East Somerset. More information here.

Nightstop:

Nightstop offers emergency temporary accommodation for 16-25’s by providing a safe, supportive bed for the night in the home of a host volunteer. Here, a young person in need of emergency accommodation will get a room of their own, an evening meal, breakfast, access to wash facilities and a friendly host. More information can be found here.

Daystop:

We provide a safe place to go during the day, somewhere warm and dry where food and drink is offered, mobile phones can be charged, showers and some clean clothes can be had, help and advice can be sought and other services can be signposted in to. More information can be found here.

Health & Wellbeing:

Our health & wellbeing centre is part of our charitable work and funds raised through membership or casual usage are used first to cover all the running costs associated with the facility and any surplus funds allow us to invest in our centre as well as support other parts of our charity – which mainly focuses on working with young people at risk. Our spacious gym offers a community feel in a welcoming environment, with professionals ready to help with your personalised fitness needs. More information can be found here.

Bath Hostel:

Situated in the heart of Bath city centre, YMCA Bath hostel is in the middle of all major tourist attractions, including: the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Bath Rugby as well as all the tempting shops and a multitude of restaurants, bars and cafes. Our commercial hostels help us to cover our central costs so that we can continue our charitable work.

Community Work:

Timsbury:

We have a wonderful facility that is available for hire by the local community for classes, events and parties. Onsite there is a large hall that is ideal for fitness classes or meetings, a small kitchen with serving and eating / drinking area and toilets. The local Library Hub is also based in our building. More information here.

Roundhill:

Roundhill is a YMCA property in the Southdown area of Bath. Currently it is used by Youth for Christ who are running youth projects from the centre.
