YMCA Mansion House Preschool, Corsham

YMCA Mansion House Preschool is in the heart of Corsham, and situated in the grounds of St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, a short walk from the town centre. There has been a Mansion House Preschool in Corsham for over 40 years and we have a good reputation in our community and a strong partnership with the adjacent school. We are ideal for teachers or teaching assistants to use for their children, as we follow term times and are open from 8.30am-3.30pm each day. We do not charge a retainer in the holidays.

We have a beautiful, purpose-built bungalow with two rooms and a large outdoor space with a large sand pit, water play tray, and wonderful mud kitchen. The outdoor area is also ideal for riding bikes, den building and has a very popular digging area. The children have a garden shed which is used for a variety of activities from extended role play, to a quiet retreat for story-telling. The outdoor area space is ideal for the children to develop independent play and creative thinking.

The garden has two astro turf areas so that the children can access the garden even on the muddiest of days. We also hold regular sports sessions and the children love these. Outside specialists come in to lead sports.

We are just across the road from Corsham Court Park and this is used regularly to extend activities, go exploring or going on a bear hunt! We can also be seen walking through the town to the church or for an occasional hot chocolate.
