More Information – YMCA Humpty Dumpty Nursery, Calne

We pride ourselves on offering a home-from-home experience that makes children feel comfortable and safe. We deliver a gentle and natural approach to teaching and learning, with a blend of different approaches, to support the needs of each individual child.

We are conveniently located on the edge of the developing town of Calne, in a converted bungalow on the site of the Kingsbury Green Academy and close to the Calne Leisure Centre. With ample parking and access to the school and leisure centre facilities, we are never short of space. The nursery overlooks the beautiful Cherhill White Horse and Downs and borders with the Bowood Estate.
We are privileged to be able to use the school woods as our Forest School and have a trained Forest School Teacher

Throughout the nursery we encourage exploration, as we believe this to be the strongest form of learning. Whether this is experimenting with the loose parts, exploring our large outdoor environment or discovering our natural and authentic resources, we cater for all interests! We are passionate about children and ensuring that every child has the greatest opportunities and the best outcomes for their future.

We are dedicated to supporting every child of any ability, with a devoted Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) on site to provide additional advice and expertise where needed.
