In April 22 the Health & Wellbeing team ran our second yoga holiday in Sri Lanka staying in Hikkaduwa with members and friends Glenda and Peter Botes who run a boutique hotel there.
In total 21 people went on the trip and enjoyed 7 days of sunshine and yoga – with daily classes morning and evening.
Daytimes were free to explore other activities and the group split off and went on a host of activities including: safaris, visiting tea plantations, memorable train journeys, surf lessons, jewellery making, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), shopping trips, turtle watching. Sea safaris to see whales and dolphins and lots more… Needless to say another great stay in Sri Lanka and huge thanks to Glenda and Peter for being such perfect hosts!
We paused many times to understand the current situation in the country – that is experiencing high inflation, power cuts, protests and more – yet the people were so welcoming, kind and grateful for the continued tourism.
We hope to return again – so if you are interested in taking part in our next yoga holiday – get in touch!
