Cream Tea, Art, and Storytelling in Timsbury

On Saturday 24th September we held an Open Afternoon at our YMCA Timsbury centre where a few local crafters had stalls selling their beautiful wares
The Library Hub was open for people to view what a wonderful service it provides to the community; children’s activities were taking place and we had the pleasure of listening to a local Ukrainian story teller – which was rather magical; and then cream teas and cake were available in abundance.
Jacqui our wonderful baker, who also runs our centre in Timsbury – baked up a storm of cakes to suit and delight every palette. By the end of the afternoon we had completely sold out of cake – which just goes to show what a great talent Jacqui has!
The purpose of the event was to make more of the local community aware of the wonderful facility we have in Timsbury and that the main hall is bookable for events and regular use.
