Baby Bags from the Wells WI

Carol Plenty (Adult Services Manager) has been working with the local WI in Wells to make baby bags for some of our residents.

A few ladies at the WI handmade 11 bags for residents throughout our housing projects. Almost everything in the bags is handmade, and the bags themselves are hand-painted.

The bags include a knitted blanket, knitted clothes and toys, and some helpful baby toiletries. The women have also ensured that something nice for mum has been included in the bags.

Here is a quote from one of the residents who received a bag: “It was lovely to get my baby bag, I love the little knitted teddy, blanket and cardigan.”
