YMCA Brunel Group works with people from birth through to adulthood – supporting individuals and families to flourish and reach their true potential. We are proud to have a group of nine nurseries and preschools.

What does the job entail?

To ensure the preparation and presentation of food is of a high standard whilst adhering to the health and safety policies and hygiene requirements.

The jobholder will have extensive contacts with children, which involves care and developmental information regularly being exchanged with nursery/preschool staff, parents/carers and, at times, representatives of other agencies e.g. Health, social care, speech and language.

What skills will the successful candidate need?

The successful candidate will ensure that the kitchen is maintained to the highest standards of health, hygiene and safety whilst on duty.

They will need to work in accordance with the food safety guidelines and to monitor high standards of personal hygiene.
